Lima is the fifth-largest city in Latin America and one of the most beautiful. Today we take in the city sights and see history unfurl before our eyes, from the Spanish conquistadors to present day. Glimpse the Colonial era during a photo op at the Plaza Mayor. Located in the heart of Lima's historic center, this is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its hand-crafted wooden balconies. We see the impressive Cathedral of Lima, whose exterior is dominated by two lovely towers and three large gateways. The plaza is surrounded by the Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall and the Presidential Palace.
We will continue our drive and enter the quaint San Isidro district, one of Lima's oldest and most stylish residential neighborhoods. You will be glued to your window as one stately mansion after another comes into view. Many of these are now embassies or belong to Lima’s upper class.
At the unique Parque Del Amor in the Miraflores District, enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean while wandering through sculptures created by one of Peru’s best-known artists. Later, we board our bus again and return to the pier.
