Travel around the island of Tromsø aboard Brim, a silent electric boat. This carbon-neutral boat will take you through icy waters and past snow-covered mountains, as well as some of the city’s landmarks, like the Arctic Cathedral. If we’re lucky, the Northern Lights may even treat us to a spectacular light show.
Brim’s underwater drone may show you some marine life, as well as the remains of Germany’s largest World War II warship, Tirpitz. Some 15,000 tons of the ship lie scattered 30-50 feet below the surface of these waters. Hear the story of British Royal Air Force pilots who bombed and managed to sink this ship that then British Prime Minister Winston Churchill nicknamed ‘The Beast’.
During the cruise, you’ll enjoy a tasting platter made from local Arctic ingredients. Experienced guides will also tell stories and share their knowledge about coastal culture, history, and food from the High North.
