This historic trail was created in 1822 and nicknamed the ‘Ice Road’. The name comes from its original purpose: the transport of ice from the Folgefanna, which was needed to conserve food items. At the Bondhus Lake, you will have the opportunity to take in the astonishing view of the surrounding fjords, glaciers, waterfalls, and the peaceful lake.
