Egersund has one of the best-preserved wooden housing settlements in Norway. It’s a town worthy of preservation, with colorful wooden houses dating back hundreds of years. The town has a long history dating back to the Viking era.Egersund is the largest fishing port in Norway, and it is also renowned for Egersund porcelain. And homemade Egersund chocolate, of course. Don’t forget the row of boathouses that are not negatively affected by high or low tide – mostly because we do not have tides in the harbor.
