A warm meal, warm drinks, and a nonalcoholic shot at the bar are included. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes suitable for that day’s weather. The weather in Tamokdalen is colder than in Tromsø due to its inland location.
With dog-sledding, ice domes, and majestic reindeer, this is the ultimate Tromsø bucket list tour.
Travel to the wilderness center at Camp Tamok, set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley. Upon arrival, change into your provided gear and receive a demonstration on how to steer a dog-sled. In teams of two, you’ll then take the reins on your sled. You’ll need to be in good physical shape to enjoy the 90-minute ride, standing tall and steering the huskies as they pull you across the frozen landscape.
After dog-sledding, visit the famous Tromsø Ice Domes that house an ice bar, ice cinema, ice suites, and ice restaurant. With themes ranging from Sami culture to Northern Lights, the domes boast beautifully colored lighting and wonderful ice sculptures. take a guided tour and learn about the construction process of these magnificent buildings. Then enjoy a complimentary, non-alcoholic shot at the ice bar, followed by a warm and hearty lunch.
Finally, we’ll introduce you to the center’s own reindeer herd.
