Disembarking on the mainland in Finnsnes, enjoy a scenic 50-minute bus tour across the island of Senja to the historical fishing village and former trading station of Hamn. Before heading out on safari, enjoy a storytelling session, where you’ll be introduced to the history of the coastal people who call Hamn home.

The boat then takes you out onto turquoise waters, among lush islands and white-coral beaches. On the coast of Norway’s second-largest island, you might see sea eagles, seals, and even colonies of elegant cormorants.

This colorful and unspoiled oasis is often called the ‘Caribbean of the North’. On an evening trip, you could enjoy a gorgeous sunset. At the height of summer, expect to see the midnight sun hanging low in the sky, just above a horizon of islets and reefs. Either way, keep your camera ready.
