Join us on a journey into our coastal heritage as we take a bus tour around the stunning Vesterålen archipelago.
Your journey begins in Stokmarknes, the birthplace of Hurtigruten. From there, we’ll take a scenic drive through the blue city of Sortland. Home to around 10,000 people, Sortland is the bustling hub of Vesterålen. Admire the city’s quirky blue façade as we head towards the old trading post of Jennestad.
At Jennestad, we go back in time and delve into the past of this iconic fishing village, before continuing on a breathtaking, panoramic tour around Eidsfjord. Enjoy plenty of photo opportunities as we travel alongside the looming cliffs and calm waters of this incredible fjord.
Continuing back towards Stokmarknes, we’ll visit one of Norway's five octagonal churches in Hadselkirka before settling down for a concert in the Royal Neptun Hall (a giant, repurposed fish oil tank) in Melbu. You’ll have time to visit the fascinating Hurtigruten Museum before boarding the ship again.
