On the river, you’ll learn hear about the history of the Sámi, an Indigenous people renowned for their nomadic reindeer herding. Listen to the stories of Russia’s first martyrs, St. Boris and St. Gleb, and also of St. Trifon from the Pechenga Monastery, the northernmost monastery in the world.
At the border, you’ll go ashore and learn a more about Norway’s relationship with its neighbor. Then, we’ll settle down for a warm drink and a traditional Norwegian favorite: cloudberries and cream.
