Take a trip to Hildurs Urterarium, a family-owned herb garden at Tilrem, just outside of Brønnøysund. From the Viking Age until now, Tilrem has historically been a social spot for people to savor beautiful nature and tasty local dishes.
After a short drive by bus, one of the family members who lives at the farm will warmly welcome us. We’ll go inside their cozy home, some 200 years old, and enjoy a traditional Norwegian afternoon coffee with a variety of baked goods. As we relax with our hot drink and baked goods in a room adorned with antique furniture and family heirlooms, we’ll gain a glimpse of the farm’s history.
Nestled among a picturesque landscape, Hildurs Urterarium boasts over 250 different varieties of plants and is an oasis of peace. Pay homage to a 150-year-old elm tree, take a stroll around the gardens, and breathe in the fragrances of the fresh herbs and spices that fill the air.
