Enjoy a funicular ride up Mount Fløyen, an area popular among Bergen locals. The views over the city are breathtaking. At the top, you’ll find cafés and a restaurant, offering an ideal stop to soak up the scenery over a refreshment. Watch hikers and runners go by, and children playing.

If you want to explore more on foot, take the walking trail back down to the city centre.  

Practical information 

  • This excursion is self-guided and at your leisure during our time in Bergen.
  • Transport to the funicular is not included. There are walking paths at the top of Mount Fløyen, including a 3km path down to the city centre. 
  • Comfortable walking shoes, backpack, and a water bottle are recommended.
  • Wheelchair accessible: The funicular accommodates a maximum of 3 wheelchairs per departure.
