We will start by strolling through the lively harbor of Patreksfjörður, a fishing village. Learn the importance of the fisheries for the village and get to know some different kinds of fish. We will visit the main fish factory on the Southern Westfjords to learn the process of making first-class fish products. The village is rich in history as a base for English and French sailors, merchants, and navy mariners. On our stroll, we will visit the memorial of the French fishermen and the memorial of the British fishermen.
