On this tour, you will get to know the cultural traditions of this unique Island. Tenerife has managed to create a perfect symbiosis between tradition and modernity. It has carefully kept the tradition of its unique and popular celebrations, such as the numerous "fiestas" and "romerias", which take place every year.
You will start the tour with a visit to La Laguna, a charming and beautiful city, filled with historic buildings. The city was the island´s capital until 1723. Today, it is Tenerife´s second biggest city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. La Laguna is considered the cultural and religious center due to its old University and the Palacio del Obispo (Bishop's Palace). Wander through the old quarter of the city, and admire its monuments from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Then you will journey back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife for a guided tour by bus. Located in the northwwest of the Island, Santa Cruz is the capital and main administrative center of the Canary Islands and is known for its lively port life. Our last visit for the day will be a stop at the Man and Nature Museum, located in the Old Civil Hospital.
After visiting the museum, you will return to the ship.
