San Sebastián City Tour and Pintxos

The San Sebastián panoramic bus tour is designed to show why San Sebastián is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is specially designed for people who want to learn more about the city and better understand its culture, history, and traditions. There’s a lot to see in San Sebastián, so this tour combines a walking tour of the old city with a drive around some of the most important sites that are not as easy to reach on foot. At the end of the visit, we will enjoy a typical pintxo and a drink.

We will see the illustrious spa La Perla, the island of Santa Clara, Miramar Palace at the top of Pico del Loro (which belongs to the royal family), and Igueldo Mountain above the Peine del Viento, and Urgull, crowned with the monument to the Sacred Heart.

Next, we go through the Ensanche, passing the neo-Gothic Buen Pastor Cathedral. We will see the lavish María Cristina Hotel (named in homage to this illustrious resident) and the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, the first stage of the famous San Sebastián Film Festival. Following the mouth of the Urumea River, we cross the Santa Catalina bridge toward María Cristina bridge.

We will approach the Boulevard and the City Hall, with the Grand Casino in view in front of the Alderdi Eder gardens. We will visit the marina and fishing port, which features an aquarium. Then we enter the historic city center, its Old Town. There, we approach the basilica of Santa María del Coro and we will cross the symbolic 31 de Agosto Street toward the old church of San Vicente. We end the route in the Plaza de la Constitución, where will taste one of the famous pintxos ("pintxo" is the Basque concept of an elaborated tapa) together with a drink.
