We begin our tour in Cork
Cork is Ireland`s second largest city. With its long maritime history and enchanting atmosphere, especially in its medieval core, with its quaysides, pretty bridges and narrow alleyways.
Here you’ll enjoy a brief panoramic tour, viewing the city’s principal sights, including the attractive quaysides and Grand Parade, the Opera House and St. Finbarre's Cathedral, with its impressive French Gothic spire throwing a grand silhouette over the city.
Onwards to the home of whiskey: Midleton
Your tour then heads towards Midleton. Legend has it that it was in Ireland that whiskey was invented. Indeed Midleton is the home of Paddy and Jameson Irish Whiskey. In fact, the town boasts the largest pot still in the world. It is here that you visit the Jameson Whiskey Heritage Centre, enjoying a guided tour before sampling a product from today’s modern distillery.
