Gardens of Daoulas & Plougastel Calvary
We depart from Brest and drive directly to Daoulas. The Abbaye de Daoulas has preserved a significant evidence of its prestigious past. It houses an oratory, a fountain and a Roman cloister which is unique in this area.
Enjoy a guided visit of the Medicinal Garden and the Park of the Abbey. Remodelled and extended with the collaboration of the National Botanical Conservatory of Brest, the gardens are laid out in the Middle-Ages style. In addition to the usual medicinal, herbal and aromatic plants, they house a collection of exotic, magic and endangered species; 250 pharmaceutical plants from five continents are also on display. The park is laid out on 4.5 hectar and features remarkable vegetal species.
After the visit, we drive to Plougastel Daoulas and stop at the Calvary before we head back to the pier.
