Learn how women came together in the small village of Comasagua, where job opportunities were mostly limited to men. They created postcards from fallen flowers from the surroundings forest. This unique art has now been exported to many countries. The project has created job opportunities for woman and income for families and the town itself. Comasagua changed from a plain village to a local touristic destination. Now, local and international visitors come to the town to see this project and enjoy the other touristic opportunities, including restaurants with panoramic views and walking adventures in the forest. Meet the women and their project and create your own souvenir.

After, you will hear the Acajutla youth orchestra. This project was started with four guitars as an after-school program. The idea was to give young people the chance to use their free time to learn something new. The program became very popular and more kids wanted to join. The local government made special arrangements and hired a music teacher, prepared space for the practices, and bought more instruments. Now these young people play at special events all around the country. They will play local and international pieces for you.
