Start from the jetty and stroll along the island’s main street and pass quaint cottages before turning south. Enjoy the island’s stunning scenery, flora, and fauna. Pass the war memorial and converted church, then head west onto common grazing land that doubles as the island golf course. Be aware of golfers and stray golf balls! After crossing here, you will find wonderful sandy beaches with stunning views over the bay and cliffs in the distance. Then you cross the moor and head down into the southern shores and the beach where St. Columba is said to have first landed on Iona on his journey from Ireland.
