The Hebrides are famed all over the world for their precious, hand-woven fabrics. This unique tour gives you the chance to experience this traditional art form and gain insight into the craft of the cloth from sheep to shop. From Fionnphort, you’ll travel through the village of Bunessan along a narrow route toward the remote and scenic Ardalanish Bay. Here, visit the Isle of Mull Weavers at Ardalanish Farm. Upon arrival, you will split up into groups to enjoy different areas and outbuildings of the farm. Throughout a guided tour of the mill, admire the old, traditional Victorian power looms and see how this wonderful, coarse fabric is woven inch by inch.

Then you will had to another part of the farm to enjoy a meet and greet with the purveyors of the famed Hebridean wool: the Hebridean black sheep. You may have the chance to stage a photo-shoot with the small herd of shaggy (but majestic) highland cattle.

Finally, enjoy island hospitality on display with tea, coffee, and cookies. Afterward, you can use your free time to stroll to the nearby beach, enjoy the stunning scenery, or simply browse the shop for a special souvenir that can last for generations.
