For the nature enthusiast, this is an exclusive opportunity to learn more about the flora and fauna of the Falklands. We begin the tour at Whalebone Cove, just outside Stanley. You will see the shipwreck of "Lady Elizabeth" dominating the eastern part of the harbour, where she has been since 1936.
We meet our guide, who will distribute an illustrated checklist and give you a brief summary of the local wildlife and what you can expect to see as we go along.
Now the walk begins. This tour involves almost 5 kilometres of brisk walking over uneven ground. Hopefully you will see the Falkland thrush, upland and kelp geese, long-tailed meadowlark, Falkland steamer duck, Magellan penguins, various endemic ferns, shrubs and grasses, scurvy grass and diddle-dee plants.
In addition to seeing numerous species of flora and fauna, there are also spectacular views of Stanley.
