Shuttle to Alaska Raptor Center for one-hour tour
Head outside of Sitka to visit the Alaska Raptor Center. The Center operates Alaska’s foremost rehabilitation program, taking in injured birds of prey until they are ready to return to the wild. The Center’s bird-care professionals and volunteers rescue a variety of birds, including eagles, owls, and hawks.
After your introduction to the Center, you will experience a presentation with one of the Center's educational birds. After learning about the Center’s important work in rescuing and rehabilitating these birds, you then move to the flight center, where the raptors regain their flying capabilities. You may also wish to explore the outdoor areas and clinic before returning to Sitka.
