Welcome to Polar Park, the world’s northernmost wildlife park. Polar Park is home to Norway’s largest predators, including bears, wolves, and lynx, as well as deer, moose, reindeer, and the wolverine. Meet the animals in beautiful surroundings in their natural habitat. The natural surroundings of the park are the animals’ habitat. The park takes pride in having among the most area per animal compared to all animal parks in the world, placing great emphasis on animal welfare. A guide will welcome you to the park and take you on a tour. You will walk through the park on the tour while the guide explains the animals.

Practical information

  • Language: English and Norwegian

  • Remarks/requirements: The guiding takes place at Polar Park, an outdoor walking park, so guests should know that there are some hills and snow and should come prepared with appropriate footwear/clothing.

  • Walking information: The walk around the park is 1.9 miles and takes approximately 1.5 hours. You must be able to walk around the park on your own.Ice cleats are available for purchase if the roads are slippery.

  • Wheelchair accessible: The Polar Museum is not equipped for wheelchairs. There is no ramp or elevator to access the second floor. The Cable Car and the Arctic Cathedral are wheelchair friendly.
