Set out on a quiet and delightful bike ride route in the heart of Norway.

The Romantic Road starts from Skjolden, the heart of Sognefjord, and goes to the village Ornes on the south side of the amazing Lustrafjord. The narrow road follows the shoreline of Lustrafjord, and you’ll experience waterfalls, historic buildings and wonderful views along the way. Enjoy the vistas and emotionsthat inspired many Norwegian painters and artists during the Norwegian era of Romanticism - which gave the road its iconic name.

Practical information

  • Language: English.

  • Included: Bicycle hire, guide.

  • Remarks/requirements: Dress according to the weather conditions. Several layers and good shoes are needed. Two tunnels with no lights are along the way (300 m + 850 m). Bicycle lights included on all the bikes. Approx 3h00 biking with photo stops. Participants are required to sign a waiver. Helmets are mandatory and will be provided.
