Small boat cruising through Geographic Harbour / Kinak Bay / Kukak Bay
Nature landing
Alaskan wilderness
Join us for an unforgettable experience, cruising across some of Alaska’s most beautiful waters in our expedition boats. Depending on conditions, the captain will stop into Geographic Harbour, Kinak Bay, or Kukak bay. These bays and inlets touch upon the breath-takingly wild Katmai National Park. While small boat cruising, nothing is guaranteed but everything is possible! Two marine safaris are never the same. Sea, weather conditions, light and wildlife, combine to make each small boat cruise a unique and unrepeatable adventure. Our expert team of guides and drivers know how to get the best out of these boat excursions. Let yourself be guided by their knowledge, have your camera at hand and get ready for a thrilling experience!
Should conditions allow, we will also make a nature landing in the area. Disembarking on a small boat on a solitary coast is the essence of expedition travelling. No port, no houses and perhaps no vehicles. Only raw nature, infinite landscapes, and untamed wildlife. No filters of any kind. The real pleasure of exploring the environment with the open mind of the pioneers, of discovering the world as it used to be. Here we will hope to spot bears, moose, and other wildlife along this wild stretch of coastline.
At Hurtigruten we have the best team of guides and naturalists, the highest safety measures and the strictest environmental protocols to protect the land whilst ensuring an unforgettable experience.
