From UNESCO-listed Valparaíso, you’ll journey to Neo-colonial La Serena and beautiful Iquique, gateway to the Atacama Desert. Then it’s on to Arica’s sun-drenched beaches before discovering the diverse wildlife wonders of the Pacific coast as we head north. 

Highlights of the Altiplano   

Flying to Cusco, you’ll explore the Inca world on land, travelling through the Sacred Valley to mystical Machu Picchu. Enjoy an unforgettable journey across the Altiplano to the mighty Lake Titicaca, the largest high-altitude lake on Earth, and see the fascinating pre-Inca tombs of Sillustani.

  • The land programme in Peru takes place at high altitudes. Lake Titicaca´s altitude is at approx. 12,500 ft and the city of Cuzco is at approx. 11,100 ft and may require a certain level of physical fitness. The order of sights may vary.  

Land Programme: Peru/Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca (after the cruise)

  • Two nights at a hotel in Cusco and two nights at a hotel in Puno, including half board 
  • One night at a hotel in Lima, including breakfast  
  • Set lunch on Days 8, 9 and 11. Picnic lunch on Days 10 and 12. 
  • Flight in economy class from Lima to Cusco and Juliaca to Lima 
  • All transfers, excursions and train rides as described, including English-speaking guides 
  • Entrance fees according to the programme
