This extensive winter expedition cruise brings you to a wide range of Norway’s coastal communities, snow-covered mountains, and fjords, hopefully under the Northern Lights.
Above the Arctic Circle
Spend over 10 days chasing the Northern Lights above the Arctic Circle in winter. Learn about polar exploration history in Tromsø, the Arctic capital; admire the Northern Lights Cathedral in Alta; and remember World War II British heroes in Narvik.
Imagine life in the picture-perfect fishing villages of Svolvær and Reine, in the Lofoten Islands, surrounded by snow-dusted mountains. We’ll then sail to the top of the European continent at the North Cape, the turning point of your voyage.
Off the beaten track
Thanks to our small ship size and our crew’s expertise of the Norwegian coast, we’ll visit hidden places few ever see. Sail into spectacular Hjørundfjord, discover geologically diverse Senja island, and visit the charming communities in remote Kalvåg and Mosterøy.
Expedition mode is in full swing along the Helgeland coast and Vesterålen. We’ll explore these scenic areas based on the local weather conditions of the day. This adventure will bring you to the beautiful city of Bergen, the bookshops of Fjærland, and to the heart of Nordfjord in Loen.
By the time you’re back to Dover, you’ll be chock full of memories from this epic Arctic adventure. Don’t be surprised if you’ve fallen in love with the Norwegian coast, perhaps even witnessing the magnificent Northern Lights several times.
