In between ports, be as active as you choose. Enjoy live cooking from our chefs, handicraft sessions in the library, and thought-provoking presentations that you can watch in person or live stream from your cabin.
Regular photography workshops give tips on getting the perfect shot, from capturing the Northern Lights to zooming in on polar wildlife. When you feel confident, you can rent camera equipment on board and practice what you learned on your next onshore excursion.
Daily themes
The entertainment on the ship has a different theme every day, depending on the destination ahead.
For example, the theme on The Svalbard Express as you approach Tromsø and Senja is ‘Seaweed and the Working Ship’. Sample ‘blue food’, learn about Hurtigruten’s unique cargo story, or meet some of our trusted fish suppliers.
On The North Cape Express around Kristiansund and Farsund, dive into lectures about Norway’s maritime history as we approach the country’s southernmost cape and its oldest lighthouse.

Your Coastal Experience Team
The four members (plus an enthusiastic trainee) of the Coastal Experience Team play an important role in your cruise entertainment, both on board and on shore. We selected these members for MS Trollfjord because they’re experienced leaders who are experts in their field, and they know how to tell a great story.
The Coastal Experience Team is here to help you make the most of the full activity program, from morning stretching to movie nights. Team members run the lectures, workshops, and onshore activities. Ask them anything about the wildlife, ports, points of interest, and heritage you might encounter throughout your cruise. They can also help you find and book your perfect excursion.
