The adventure begins with an overnight stay in port at exotic Palmeira in Cape Verde. At midday the next day, our expedition ship sets sail toward the famed Canary Islands.

La Palma is known to the Spanish as ’Isla bonita‘ (the pretty island) because of its attractive landscapes.

The Island was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2002. Enjoy strolling through the lovely old town in the island´s capital or discover La Palma’s hiking trails, welcoming beaches, or prehistoric forest

We arrive in Funchal in the evening and will stay overnight to enjoy a full day in port.

Funchal is a modern, cosmopolitan city that offers inviting cafés, interesting shops, cobblestone streets, and a magnificent natural setting.

Enjoy a visit to the golden beaches of Porto Santo. The rugged interior of the island is perfect for exciting excursions, and has much to offer history buffs.  After all, Christopher Columbus made his home on the island´s capital: Vila Baleira.

Colors on this island are not confined to green vegetation, blue sea, and white houses. The breakwater is covered in murals and paintings, thanks to a local tradition that holds that good luck will follow sailors who leave their mark here before setting off across the Atlantic.
