Asta Lassesen

CEO of Hurtigruten Expeditions

Asta was appointed CEO of Hurtigruten Expeditions in 2020 and is one of the longest-serving executive managers in Hurtigruten Group.

After joining Hurtigruten in 2007, she quickly rose to the position of CFO at the age of 29 - one of the youngest CFOs in the history of cruising. Her 14 years of key management experience from Hurtigruten Group also includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

She worked alongside Skjeldam in the development and launch of the world’s first battery-hybrid cruise ships and plays an integral role in expanding Hurtigruten Expedition’s destination portfolio.

Asta loves to ski and hike, as well as sun holidays with her family and her favourite Hurtigruten Expeditions destination is the Galápagos Islands and adores its unique nature and wildlife. She is also a fan of Greenland and loves to interact closely with its local communities.

She holds a MA in accounting and finance from Handelshøgskoen (HHN) in Norway.
