All cabins have a telephone. Buy a phone card in the reception to call from the ship. There is an Internet café on board (at extra cost) and Wi-Fi is available on deck 4 in the reception area only Please note that the connection is a 512MB line and that both internet and telephones from time to time will be out of range due to the vessel’s location. Guests are respectfully reminded that only beverages purchased from the ship’s restaurants and bars can be consumed on board. Alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call and from our on-board shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to your cabin on the last day of the sailing. According to Norwegian law, persons over the age of 18 are allowed to purchase beer and wine. Spirits are only available to persons over the age of 20 years.
Hurtigruten ASA cannot accept children under the age of 5 to travel with us to Antarctica. There is no age restriction on our other destinations. For safety reasons, children under 12 years of age will be considered on each landing. It is entirely at the Captain’s discretion to allow children on shore landings.
When you or your agent contact us we will usually confirm your holiday at the earliest opportunity and advise current flight times, prices, including any applicable supplements or extras, etc. For high season dates, when demand is greater, or if you book within eight weeks of departure, we may have to request your cabin, flight or hotel space and it may take slightly longer to confirm your holiday. An invoice will be sent to confirm your arrangements. If you are travelling with friends but would each like to receive separate documents
Health & medical declaration form
Passengers suffering from any known or suspected medical condition, or women more than 28 weeks pregnant, are required to notify us at least 14 days before departure and produce a medical certificate confirming fitness to travel. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if the relevant certificate is not produced and will not be liable for the refusal by any operator to carry any person who has failed to notify us as above. If in doubt about health precautions, please consult your doctor.
In accordance with IAATO and Hurtigruten ASA requirements, all travellers to Antarctica and on board the Trans Atlantic Crossing must complete a confidential medical declaration form, signed by a doctor, stating that they are fit to travel. This form will be sent to you 3 months before . The form must be filled out, brought on board the ship and personally delivered to the doctorupon embarkation. Boarding may be denied if these forms are not presented at time of embarkation. Passengers taking part in the Trans-Atlantic Crossing will also need to bring this form on board.

If you have any concerns regarding reports that long periods of immobility, such as remaining seated during flights, may be a contributory factor of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) we recommend you contact your GP for advice.
