Killer Whale Safari in Lofoten

Enjoy the tranquillity, the beauty of the unspoiled nature, picturesque small towns and last but not least – experience killer whales on close hold.

An unforgettable adventure

Welcome on board for an unforgettable adventure along the Northwestern coastline. This trip from Trondheim or Tromsø combines complete relaxation and breathtaking experiences – giving you memories for life.

We visit the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund, Trondheim with its Gothic Cathedral, the coast of Helgeland and Vesterålen.

Reaching Svolvær, an unspoiled fishing village, we disembark for a one night’s stay in “Rorbuer” – a comfortable, traditional fisherman’s cabin. These renovated chalets are based on original designs to a cozy standard.

The next morning we set sail in a small boat for Tysfjord, along narrow fjords and the home of many killer whales during the winter. Our local guide onboard has good knowledge of these mammals and ensures that we almost every time get to see the orcas at close quarters.

Please note that the killer whale is a wild animal, living in their natural environment. Sightings can therefore not be guaranteed. Later the same afternoon, we return to Svolvær and rejoin the northbound Hurtigruten.
