Since 1893 Hurtigruten has explored the Norwegian coast and the polar waters of remote shores. We are still exploring and introducing new fjords and excursions along the long and rugged Norwegian coast, where 22 of the 34 ports that we call at on a daily basis are north of Arctic Circle!
Throughout our voyages there is an exciting range of excursions on both the northbound and southbound sailings. All are designed to give you the opportunity to experience the best that our various destinations have to offer. Choose between informative city tours, visits to cultural sites, bird watching trips or more active adventures such as dog sledging, RIB safaris and snowmobiling.
Booking your excursions before you travel is highly recommended. Many of our most popular trips have limited numbers meaning they can sell out before you get on board. Make sure you don't miss out!
Join us on a voyage through the calm, sheltered waters of Norway's shores, closer to the landscape, wildlife and inhabitants. For more than 120 years we have sailed along the coastline, deeper into the heart of the spectacular landscape than anyone else. We take you to fjords, waterways and ports that larger ships cannot reach. There is no better way to enjoy the truly Norwegian way of life than on the original Coastal Voyage. Whenever you sail with us, you will be provided with an ever-changing backdrop to a journey of matchless wonder.
We wish you a warm welcome on board!

Hurtigruten is the best way to explore Greenland's Arctic wilderness. We are happy to present these two new Explorer voyages where we go further north with new exciting landings and excursions. Both voyages have almost the same itinerary, but the 14-day journey gives you more time to explore the Oqaatsut surroundings. These voyages will give you an authentic experience of Greenland.
