Group Size

A group is defined as a minimum of 10 full fare paying customers, traveling on the same departure date and booked by the same travel agency.

Hurtigruten reserves the right to withdraw the group discount and revert to the best available and active promotional rate for this deprature, if your group falls short of the above requirement.

Applicable Categories

All standard categories are applicable and may be requested as a part of the initial group allotment. Suite categories are available and may be booked as long as names and full deposit accompany the booking request.

Group Amenities

A free, cruise-only tour conductor berth may be earned for every 15 full fare adult guests and as low as one free TC per 10 full paying in shoulder/off season. A maximum of two tour conductors may be earned on any departure date. 

Tour conductors must be assigned from your allotment space based on the average group rate paid. Tour conductors will be charged any applicable cruise fuel surcharge at time of sailing.

Commission

Depending on your current contract.

For new bookings: 

Cruise only rates are commissionable at 10%  

Air add-ons, transfers, and hotel packages are commissionable at 5%

Prepaid shore excursions are commissionable at 5%

Single, Triple and Quad Occupancy

Single occupancy of a specific stateroom, for Norwegian coastal voyage, in categories D - U for 2011 is:

01.01 - 14.04 -   0%

15.04 - 31.05 - 50% 

01.06 - 31.07 - 75%

01.08 - 14.09 - 50%

15.09 - 31.12 - 25%

of the double occupancy rate. Single occupancy in a suite category is 100%.

Hurtigruten reserves the right to decline the sale of a stateroom for less than its stated capacity.

All allotment cabins are granted basis double occupancy. All single, triple and quad cabins are on request and can not be confirmed without names and deposits. 

Deposit/Payment Requirements/Allotment Reviews

A deposit of 20% per person is due along with the guest names and date of birth as space is sold.

Final payment is due 60 days prior to sailing for all guests.

Hurtigruten will review your sales against allotment space every 30 days starting at 9 months prior to sailing. For certain peak demand sailings allotment reviews may begin 12 months prior to sailing or earlier. Partial or full recall of your unsold allotment space generally does not take place until approximately 120 days prior to sailing.

All unsold allotment space is aitomatically retaken 90 days prior to sailing for ship departures June 1 - July 31 and 60 days prior to sailing for all other departures.

Sold allotment space is defined as stateroom for which Hurtigruten has received the required names and payments.

Group rates are guaranteed for your allotment space until it is retaken. Additional space requested may or may not be granted at the group rates in this agreement. Prevailing market rates apply to all non-allotment space requests. 

Cancellation Charges

All cancellations must be received in writing and receipt will be acknowledged by Hurtigruten. If you do not receive a written acknowledgement from Hurtigruten, it means your notice of cancellation was not received.

The same cancellation policy as for individual bookings applies.
