What will the climate be like?
Although temperatures vary from south to north, average temperatures range between 20 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and in the summer between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Will I experience the Midnight Sun and the Northern Lights?
The Midnight Sun can be seen above the Arctic Circle from mid-May to late July. The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is most often seen during the winter months. Unlike the Midnight Sun, which is visible as long as the weather is fair, the Northern Lights can be seen only when the right atmospheric conditions prevail.

What ship goes from which port?
Hurtigruten have a fleet of 11 ships between Bergen and Kirkenes. The tour between Bergen and Kirkenes takes 11 days so we have a ship that sails every day visiting all ports on both the north and south bound journeys.

When is the ship leaving the port?

What is a round trip?
A round trip is referencing a tour that goes to or from Kirkenes.

We have three round trips on offer; the full round voyage (Bergen – Kirkenes – Bergen), the voyage north (Bergen – Kirkenes) and the voyage south (Kirkenes – Bergen).

What is included in a round trip?
Included in a round trip is the travel itself, as well as the cabin and all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Can I travel from one place to another, or do I have to take a full round trip?
Yes, you can travel from one place to another. You can travel from any port to or from you decide. This is called port to port.

What is port to port?
Port to port is when you decide which ports you travel to and from.
